We invite you on a unique journey of discovery in nature, in the enchanting landscapes of Apokoronas. At Cretan Gea, you will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the richness of the Cretan land and learn to recognize and collect the wild edible greens and herbs that are hidden all around us.
Maria, a professor of Agriculture and botanist, and a member of our team with extensive knowledge in the gathering of wild greens, will guide you through the secrets of the Cretan mountains and show you of the wild greens we come across are edible, what their properties are and how to distinguish them from those that are not edible.
We will have a lovely walk in nature together, along the winding paths of Roupakias forest and collect the herbs that we recognize, while learning about the biodiversity of the area.
With the greens we will collect, we will prepare traditional Cretan recipes together, such as stir-fried greens with white lemon sauce, pies and salads.
We will have the opportunity to taste the dishes we prepare, enjoying the unique flavor and aroma of wild herbs.
At the end of the workshop, you will have acquired new knowledge, come closer to nature and enjoyed a unique tasting experience.
